Is your Business reliant on your WiFi Connection? Here are tips to stay connected!

Updated: Sep 24, 2022

If your business is like most these days, you're heavily reliant on having a good WiFi connection. After all, so much of what we do now happens online. But what happens when your WiFi goes down? How can you stay connected and avoid any costly downtime? Here are some tips to help keep your business connected and running smoothly.

Always have a backup plan!

If your WiFi goes down, do you have another way to get online? Maybe you can tether your phone to your computer or use a hotspot. If you have a laptop, make sure you always have it with you so you can work offline if needed.

Invest in a good quality WiFi router.

A good router will help keep your connection strong and stable, even if there are many people using it simultaneously.

Keep your software up to date.

Make sure you're running the latest versions of your operating system and applications. These updates often include fixes that can help improve your WiFi connection.

Check your settings.

Sometimes the problem isn't with your WiFi connection at all, but with how you've set it up. Make sure you're not accidentally blocking your signal or setting the network to a low priority.

Use a good quality cable.

If you're using an Ethernet cable to connect to your router, make sure you're using a good quality one. A cheap cable can cause interference and result in a poor WiFi connection.

Keep your devices clean.

Dust and dirt can build up on the antennas of your devices and cause them to malfunction or have a weak signal. Clean your antennas regularly to help improve your WiFi connection.

Install a WiFi Mesh System!

If you're having trouble with your WiFi connection in certain parts of your office, consider installing a WiFi mesh system. This will help to create a stronger and more stable signal in all areas of your office. It's also a quick and straightforward installation that PC Onsite can always help you with.
