Do You Know How Many People Are Visiting Your Website?

Updated: Sep 24, 2022

If you're a business owner, you know that your website is a valuable tool - it's your online storefront, and it's where potential customers can learn more about what you do and how to get in touch. But do you know how many people are actually visiting your website? Knowing this information can help you make decisions about what content to create and how to optimize your site for conversions. So if you're curious about how your website is performing, read on! We'll tell you the important things you need to know.

Google Analytics

A free service that provides website owners with detailed insights into their website traffic. If you're not already using Analytics, we recommend setting it up - it's easy to do, and it only takes a few minutes. Once you've got Analytics installed, you'll be able to see how many people are visiting your site, where they're coming from, what pages they're looking at, and more!

To get started, head to the Google Analytics website and sign up for an account. Then, follow the instructions to install the tracking code on your site. Once you've done that, you'll start collecting data about your website traffic - and you can view it all in the Analytics interface.

There are a few things that you can do with this data, but one of the most important is to set up goals. Goals allow you to track conversions - that is, people taking action on your site, such as filling out a contact form or making a purchase. By tracking conversions, you can see which areas of your site are performing well and which could use some improvement.

To set up a goal, log in to your Analytics account and click on the "Admin" tab. Then, click on "Goals" under the "View" section. From there, you'll be able to create a new goal and track it over time.

Once you start tracking your goals, you'll be able to see how many people are converting on your site. This information can be incredibly valuable - it can help you make decisions about what content to create and where to invest your time and resources.

If you're not already using Google Analytics, we highly recommend that you set it up. It's a valuable tool that can give you insights into your website traffic and help you make decisions about how to improve your site. And it's free to use, so there's no reason not to get started!

Other Sources

If you're using Squarespace, Wix, or any other website building and hosting web applications - these usually would have an Analytics section where you can see reports on website traffic.
